May 20 6th Grade Promotion and Early Release dismissal
We will begin promptly at 9:30. We cannot wait for late comers. Please plan to arrive early. All adults must have photo ID to sign in at the office. We will allow folks to enter at 8:45 so there is plenty of time for everyone to sign in and be seated.

Scooping is a reading strategy that helps students improve fluency by grouping words into meaningful phrases, rather than reading word-by-word. Students practice this by using a finger to "scoop" under groups of three to four words as they read, which helps them develop a better rhythm and pace. It's a stepping stone to reading more fluently, building on skills like prosody, by teaching students that words go together naturally.
